Our aim is to establish a systematic approach to the monitoring and surveillance of cerebral palsy in Wales and to support research into the condition
The main aims of the Cerebral Palsy Register Wales are to:
- enable individuals in Wales with cerebral palsy to have improved Quality of Life individuals, giving them the opportunity to be included in all aspects of life
- establish a systematic approach to monitoring and surveillance of cerebral palsy
- inform service planning
- establish a systematic approach to monitoring and surveillance of cerebral palsy
- ensure equitable high quality evidence based services for individuals with cerebral palsy
- enable population level research, to benefit individuals and populations living with cerebral palsy in Wales
- make a difference for those in Wales with cerebral palsy
- act as an agent for change and enable people and families to be active participants and shape its development
The Cerebral Palsy Register Wales(CPRW) is a confidential record of children with cerebral palsy born in Wales. It is held by National Welsh Informatics Service (NWIS) and supported by the Moondance Foundation
